2010 Science Fiction Movies to Look Forward To

No, this isn't on the list, but it should be...

One person's idea of science fiction movies to look forward to in 2010.  Not only does the list include horror and fantasy movies, but so far it's been a mixed bag, delivery-wise.

The Book Of Eli (Jan. 15) Its violence dilutes its faux surprise ending **

The Lovely Bones (Jan. 15) Missed it

Legion (Jan. 22) A silly mess **

The Wolfman (Feb. 12) Woof!  *

The Crazies (Feb. 26) Much better than the horrible original ***

Hot Tub Time Machine ( March 19) Silly fantasy comedy ***

Repo Men (April 2) Missed it.  Was it released?

Kick-Ass (April 16) Violent and sometimes incongruous ***

A Nightmare On Elm Street (April 30) Skipped it.

Iron Man 2 (May 7) The iron man suits pack an improbable quantity of ordnance ***

Jonah Hex (June 18) Skipped it.  Saw it later.  Should have persisted in skipping it. *

Toy Story 3 (June 18) Very nice, but Science Fiction? ****

The Last Airbender (July 2) Skipped it. [UPDATE: Eventually saw it, but should have continued to skip it.]

Despicable Me (July 9) Missed it. [UPDATE: Saw it too many years later and loved it...and eventually its sequel too!]

Predators (July 9) Meets but does not exceed expectations ***

Inception (July 16) Really something! ****

Priest (August 20) Saw it; another silly mess **

Red Dawn (November 24) Haven't seen any sign of it. [UPDATE: Then I skipped it.]

Tron Legacy (December 17) Good enough, but lacking the heart of the original. ***

The Green Hornet (December 22) A messed up disappointment.  *
